BICON Insulated Terminals
A colour coded range of connectors for making connections onto copper conductor and providing support to the cable insulation.

The moulded insulation sleeve, suitable for operation up to 80°C, provides a tapered tube between the insulation mouth and the copper barrel of the connector to ensure the smooth entry of the conductor strands.

BICON Compression Tooling
The BICON Compression method of securing terminals to conductors has long been recognized as offering the optimum combination of electrical integrity, reliability and speedy installation. The compression systems ensures a uniformly high standard across all terminations then used in association with tooling supplied by the same manufacturer, an important factor in ensuring that the completed installation conforms to the standards laid down in BS 4579 part I. In addition, the newer cable insulating materials allow for higher operating temperatures ( and thus high current ratings) than before and BICON Compression Lugs are designed to accommodate this.

BICON Terminations
BICON Coldfit terminations are quick and easy to install, offering high reliability and excellent performance for both indoor and outdoor use. The BICON terminations include built in high permittivity stress controlling material. Once installed, the termination offers excellent insulation levels and lower surface stress, which results in a more compact termination. For outdoor use the terminations have moulded-in rain sheds, which are designed to let water run off when installed in an upright position.
